Satellite Retrievals

Space-based observations of tropospheric NO2, SO2, and aerosols offer the potential to improve our understanding of emissions, of surface air quality, and, more generally, of NOx, SOx, and aerosol chemistry.

Tools: GOME-2, SCIAMACHY, OMI, MODIS, and OSIRIS satellite instruments; LIDORT radiative transfer model; GEOS-Chem chemical transport model
